Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

What is Harmonious Society?
Our mission is to inspire and equip like-minded individuals to forge their own path within an inclusive and empowering club. We run a programme of activities every month, creating experiences that inspire personal growth both physically and mentally.

Who can join Harmonious Society?
Anyone. We’re a welcoming and inclusive club, although if you’re under 18 your parent/guardian will need to permit taking part in any of our activities.

There are no expectations of pace or ability we’re here to help everyone reach their best.

What kind of things can I get involved in?
We run several activities designed to inspire growth both physically and mentally. These range from Men’s and Women’s Evenings focusing on a range of mental and physical health topics, track nights, Yoga sessions, indoor climbing, and more! We also have our regular community runs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.

Do I have to have a certain level of fitness to join the society?
No. We welcome all ages and abilities, and our programme caters to all needs from absolute beginners to seasoned athletes. There’s no expectations of pace or ability we’re here to help everyone reach their best.

How do I join?
Easy! Join our Harmonious Society WhatsApp community to keep track of what’s happening and to interact with the rest of our amazing community.

I feel nervous about joining, what should I do?
Don’t worry, we’ve all been there. We’re an inclusive community and are here to support everybody to be at their best – whatever that looks like for you. We never leave anyone behind. Own lane, own race, own pace.

If you’re feeling nervous about joining, our bi-weekly starter runs are a great place to begin your journey. These runs can help start to build your confidence in a friendly, no-pressure environment. Look out for these in the announcements section of our WhatsApp community or the Society Events section of the website.

How much does it cost?
We run a combination of free and ticketed events. Ticketed events are clearly marked with a ticket symbol on the monthly activity calendar. You can find the monthly activity calendar in the announcements section of our WhatsApp community or the Society Events section of the website.

Do I need to pre-book activities?
For non-ticketed events there is no need to book. Simply turn up at the advertised time and location and we’ll be there!

For ticketed events, yes. Ticketed events are clearly marked with the ticket symbol on the monthly activity calendar. You can find this in the announcements section of our WhatsApp community or the Society Events section of the website.

All tickets can be purchased on our website. We’ll announce when various ticket sales go live on the WhatsApp community announcements section.

Once you have purchased a ticket on our website you’ll receive a confirmation email which includes an order number. On arrival at an event, our team will check you in. Just have your name and/or order number to hand to help speed up the process.
